Hello, my name is Weiyu Tong. I come from China. I completed my undergraduate degree in Communication and Journalism at OSU in 2021. I’m currently pursuing a graduate degree in Public Relations and Advertising at USC, where I hope to further develop my skills in media and communications.

Career Plan

For my career journey, I am currently working at CLA, where I have been exposed to some travel, food, and fashion brands and have gained a lot of knowledge about art, which is a field that I never imagined I would be involved with. In 2021, I gained valuable experience at FleishmanHillard in Beijing. I worked with P&G groups and served brands like Head and Shoulders, Herbal Essences, and Rejoice. I hope to have a full-time job in an agency in the future.

Cat Lover

In my personal life, I’m a cat lover. I have two of my own – a tiger cat and a lion cat – both of whom I adopted from a local shelter. People may be familiar with tiger cats, but not many know about lion cats. They’re a special breed that originated from Shandong province in China – the birthplace of Confucius.

Travel Lover

Apart from my feline friends, I also love exploring national parks and collecting park stamps. It’s a great way to experience nature and add to my collection.

Night Lover

I should mention that I’m a bit of a night owl. I tend to stay up pretty late, often working on creative projects or catching up on my favorite TV shows. I know it’s not for everyone, but I’ve always found that I’m most productive and creative late at night. However, I’m always happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate others and make time for new experiences and opportunities.
